Accessibility Statement of European and Global Drought Observatories

This website is managed by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre as part of the Copernicus Emergency project. This website is focussing on Web mapping techniques and contains the latest drought relevant information in web map form. An archive of drought relevant data is accessible as map, as well as development over time of some parameters, that can be visualised in business graphics. The textual part of the website is available also on the JRC science hub domain in order to be accessible for everyone. A link to the JRC Science hub on the relevant pages is provided.

On this textual part you should be able to:

The web mapping part of the website will be made available in May 2023 using responsive techniques in order to be experienced on Smartphones, Tablets and Desktop computers. The former website will be retained for another year (up to May 2024) in order to allow for the porting of all functionalities. The former website is developed in 2007 as might not be compliant with new technical standards. For the new responsive website we will apply to the technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 although this standard is poorly developed for web mapping.
